Travelling by car

Blackheath in the upper Blue Mountains is approximately 2 hours from the city of Sydney via the M4 Motorway. The Greater Blue Mountains actually stretches from Glenbrook in the east to Mt Victoria in the west with Blackheath being the highest village in the Blue Mountains and about 10 minutes east of Mt Victoria.
There is an alternate route via Bells Line of Road which is the scenic route but much slower and with a higher accident rate than the M4 which is a 6 lane motorway for much of the journey until you reach the Blue Mountains proper.
Travelling by rail

If you don't have a car you can travel to the Blue Mountains by rail. Transport for NSW offers an extremely efficient service to the Blue Mountains. If you are flying into Sydney, there is a rail link taking passengers directly from Sydney Airport to Central Railway Station.
From Central you can board an air-conditioned double decker Mountains train. The fast journey to the Mountains will most likely stop at Strathfield, Parramatta, Penrith, Emu Plains, and then all stations up the Blue Mountains.

There is a taxi service in Blackheath which will take you the 1km to Misty Glen from the railway station.
Misty Glen is located in Popes Glen
